Blogging For Your Organization

Now that we have completed our series on article writing its important to think more about blogging. Blogging comes in a number of different forms. The traditional blog is just a richened piece without picture and without video. But in the world of multimedia and high-speed Internet access, blogging has become a multimedia and pictorial experience. When people started blogging, it was all about the person writing. They wrote about their experiences, their day-to-day events and their thoughts on what was going on in their personal life. Then bloggers started writing about more diverse topics that weren’t just about themselves. Bloggers now write their opinions on more serious topics like politics, religion, news, and sports etc., and the industry has now noticed that blogs are more than just a daily journal.
Now it has become easier to upload pictures, so people have started not only writing about their daily experiences, but have also started putting up pictures of their friends, of their family and, of course, of the celebrities they saw on the street. (I saw Bruce Willis yesterday!) Now that we not only have high-speed Internet, we also have webcams, FLIP cameras, digital cameras with video mode and even video capabilities on your cellphone (not to mention Internet on there too), YouTube and other popular video sharing sites have made it possible to make the Vlog (which we will talk about in the future).
The world of blogging has evolved over its short time and out of the personal blog, has come the company blog. Marketing departments at companies, large and small, have started creating blogs as an extension of their own website. As previously written about, the ideal blog for SEO purposes should be separate from your main corporate URL. So regardless of the practices of the past, a company blog should talk about clients, staff, and industry news. Blogging can be helpful for your company because all the content created by your company’s blog is further promoting your organization.
