Before anything, I just want to give a shout out to Louie C.K. Comedian and divorced father of 2. www.hulu.com/louie A friend of mine told me about the show and since I don’t watch TV because I don’t want to pay for cable, I simply watch it online. So thank you Louie for entertaining me. Hulu for broadcasting. And the Internet for making my life awesome!

 

Barack Obama was in Hawaii earlier this week campaigning, talking and raising money. Obama sort of grew up inHawaii. There is some debate about this but he does call it his hometown and did raise some funds from the locals. Nice weather. Good surfing. He claims that everything he did to get into office and then everything he has done for the past 4 years leads him up to his second term. So are we to believe that the previous administration messed things up so bad that it took four years to get out of the hole, and we will only start to see good things and “change” happen in the next 4 years? That’s going to be a hard sell but I guess we will see what happens. Joe Paterno was fired from his position at Penn State after 46 years amidst scandal. This just sucks for everyone involved. I can’t tell you too much but I can tell you to read all about it. I know what we can learn from it though. Steer clear of bad behavior and don’t look the other way, but RUN as fast as you can from bad karma. Do the right thing every time and you will have a long and healthy good life. Of course you can apply this to your business. So the debate rambles on whether the “Occupy Wall Street” campaign is really accomplishing anything. I personally don’t think so. I know it has hurt business downtown but I also know that it got a lot of media and press coverage. I think its time to go home and get a job now that Mayor Bloomberg escorted them out of Zuccotti Park. It was illegal for them to be there in the first place. If you want to protest, take it to the street. Don’t settle in the park. That’s not your property! And I will repeat this over and over again. If you don’t have a job then create one. I will never forget President Ronald Reagan showing off newspaper classifieds of hundreds of jobs. Most are low paying and most are in sales, but as in one of the Louie episodes I was watching earlier tonight, the universe and the world owe you NOTHING! I just found out that some dude created a social networking website called “Diaspora.” https://joindiaspora.com/ has a rest in peace Ilya Zhitomirskiy 1989-2011 on its homepage. I know nothing about it but if you want people to come to your site I guess change the world (like Steve Jobs) and people will google your name and go to your site. (As a side note, I am not incorporating this into my Internet marketing strategy…)

 

Lastly. Thank you to all the Veteran’s that have served in the armed forces to protect freedom and liberty and justice for all. My father was a veteran as was my grandfather.
