The Xtensor

Extending the life of your hands
- I am always on the lookout for new and exciting golf gadgets. A month ago, at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida, I found one of the best gadgets ever.
Over the past year or so, I have been begun to notice a little arthritis in my fingers. Working on a computer all day certainly takes a toll on the fingers, hands and wrists, along with my elbows.
The XTensor (www.thextensor.com) is a device that you put on your hand to work and flex your fingers in a direction opposite to what you do during the normal course of your day. It is also the 2007 winner of the prestigious Medical Design Excellence Award.
Think of the XTensor as a Bow Flex for your hands. Using the Xtensor strengthens muscles virtually off limits to all other devices. Exercising the muscles that open the hands helps improve finger joint range of motion for people suffering with arthritis pain.
The Xtensor is the first product able to precisely target and strengthen the Finger Extensor Muscles while also providing a full, natural path of motion necessary for stimulating the muscles in the elbow; which can help reduce elbow pain from Tennis Elbow. It is also an essential tool for people recovering from tendinitis in the wrist, overcoming the effects of a stroke or suffering from hand stiffness.
For me, I noticed improvement within the first few days of using my Xtensor. I try to use mine every day. Five short minutes on each hand gets my muscles, tendons and joints working and ready for a day of work or play. I no longer need to pop an Aleve or some Tylenol Arthritis before leaving the house to play golf or go to work. For me, the soreness and stiffness I have been suffering with the past year or so has nearly gone away.
My golf game has also benefited from my use of the Xtensor. I have found a little more distance from my clubs and my touch and feel around the greens has improved, meaning fewer strokes on the scorecard. I’m certain it has to do with having more strength and flexibility in my fingers, hands and wrists thanks to the Xtensor.
You don’t have to be a golfer to benefit from the Xtensor. Anyone suffering with joint and muscle pain in the elbow, wrist, hand or fingers could enjoy positive results. I thought it was worthy of a try, all I had to lose was some pain and stiffness. Fortunately I did!
